Based in Miami, Florida, Christa Morera is a highly qualified violin teacher. Her expertise is underscored by her advanced education, holding a Master’s Degree in Suzuki Pedagogy and Violin Performance from Roosevelt University, Chicago. She is also Suzuki Certified, having completed the Suzuki Association of the Americas Violin Teaching Strategies Units 1-7.
Christa’s pedagogical approach integrates her deep understanding of Suzuki methods with her performance experience.
Teaching Experience: Christa currently serves as a violin teacher at Trala School of Music . Her dedication to fostering musical talent extends to her private violin studio as well as teaching position at various music schools, where she has taught both in-person and remotely .
Education: Christa holds a Master’s degree in Suzuki Pedagogy and Violin Performance from Roosevelt University, Chicago, and has completed Suzuki Association of the Americas Violin Teaching Strategies Units 1-7. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance with Highest Honors, Summa Cum Laude from the New World School of the Arts, Miami, and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Florida.
Awards and Honors: Christa’s exceptional talent has been recognized through various accolades, including 1st Place at the Gran Prize Virtuoso Solo Competition in Salzburg, Austria.
Performance Experience: Her performance career includes notable achievements such as participating in esteemed festivals and orchestras including the Chautauqua Institution Summer Music Festival. Christa has also performed with the Miami Symphony Orchestra , the Orquesta Sinfonica del Gran Teatro de La Habana, among others.
Languages: Christa is proficient in both English and Spanish, enabling her to connect with a diverse range of students and colleagues.
Private Teachers: Her musical journey has been influenced by several eminent teachers including Almita Vamos, Liba Shacht, Daniel Andai, Alfredo Muñoz, and Alla Taran.
